Why automated call logging is Android-only
Conek can automatically capture and log calls on Android. On iOS this is not possible — Apple does not allow third-party apps to access cellular call audio. This page explains why, and what you can do instead.
Why iOS doesn't support auto-recording
Apple does not expose any official iOS API for third-party apps to record or process cellular phone calls. Apps that promise iPhone call recording either rely on conference-bridge tricks (which require a separate phone number and explicit dial-in) or violate the App Store rules. Conek will not ship anything that would risk your data, your App Store account, or your call quality, so call auto-capture is limited to Android.
What you can do instead
You can still record every customer conversation in Conek — it just takes a few extra taps after the call ends.
- Place or receive the call on your iPhone as normal.
- Open Conek and tap "Log a call" from the mobile dashboard.
- Fill in the contact, direction, duration, and a few notes, then save. The call appears in your CRM timeline the same as an Android-captured one.
Where the data goes
Manually logged calls are stored in your Conek workspace under the same multi-tenant, encrypted database as the rest of your CRM data. Only people in your organisation with permission to read call records can see them.
We do not upload, transcribe, or analyse any audio for manually logged iOS calls — only the metadata and notes you type into the form. You can edit or delete a call entry at any time and the full change history is kept under GDPR for audit purposes.
